Final Grades

You should have received emails with all your grades, including your final grade, about two days ago. The grades have also been entered into VIP. If you are curious, here is the final grade distribution:

I had a lot of fun on our Friday labs and in lecture. I just wish more of you could have attended. Have a good summer!

No Class Next Week

As I mentioned today in class, there will be no class next week. Also, the quiz on the following Monday will again cover the Arrays chapter.

I have noticed that lab attendance is really low. This is great for the few of you that show up. However, I've noticed that many of the people with the lowest grades in the tests are the ones who are not attending any labs. Please do come to the Friday labs! You might learn something. As always, I'm in the lab Fridays from 9am to 11am, at least.

Also note that I am now taking attendance at the labs.

Lab 1 Grades Sent

Notetaker Needed

I received the following from the university:

A note taker is needed for a student with a disability in this course. The note taker may make copies of the notes in Disability Services (LeConte 112A). There is no charge for using the copy machine. The note taking may be done as a volunteer or for pay. If a student chooses to be paid, the pay is $5.85 per hour. The note taker must have at least a 2.5 GPA and will be asked to complete USC employment paperwork and an online training to assist them in taking good notes. Prospective note takers should go online to sign up at www.sa.sc.edu/sds/notetakers.htm or contact the Disability Services staff at 777-6142 (room 112A LeConte) for more information.

First Class in Classroom

Our first class, tomorrow Monday the 14, will be in the classroom. Then, and for the rest of the semester, we will meet Mondays and Fridays in the Lab and only Wednesdays in the classroom. This Wednesday there is no class.
